Story-first adventures worth your evening
Not every gaming session needs to be a marathon. Some nights you just want a story that starts, unfolds, and ends without asking for a hundred hours. Mobile adventure games are quietly excellent at this.
Hollow Lantern is the one I keep recommending. It's short, it's hand-drawn, and it uses silence better than most games use dialogue. You explore, you light some lamps, you slowly understand a sad little town. Then it's over, and you sit with it for a while.
The trick with these games is playing them right. Put on headphones. Turn off notifications. These adventures are built on atmosphere, and a buzzing phone shatters it instantly.
If you finish one and want more, look for the tag 'point and click' and read a few user notes about pacing. The good ones respect your intelligence with fair puzzles instead of obscure moon logic.
A great short adventure is one of the most underrated things on mobile. Give one a Sunday evening and see.
